The going-ons at an FM radio station serve as the vehicle for a bombardment of 1970s rock hits, as well as concert footage of Ronstadt and Buffet, in this comedy. The accompanying story concerns some disk jockeys' reactions to their station's change to a more commercial format and its proposed sale to the Army. The station manager (Brandon) is so upset by the switch that he quits, leaving the rest of the staff to hijack the station, barricading themselves inside and broadcasting their playlist to the audience.
