This is the saga of real-life aviator Douglas "Wrong Way" Corrigan, who, in what he said was an attempt to fly cross-country, ended up in Ireland. His Neanderthal navigation brought a flurry of publicity in his favor, but whatever fans he gained were surely lost in this weak portrayal of himself.
