An intelligently written and marvelously acted sequel to writer-director John Duigan's acclaimed The Year My Voice Broke. Noah Taylor stars as a bright Australian teenager forced to make his way through a restrictive and very proper boarding school. His days are spent fending off school bullies and chatting about the absurdity of it all with chum Bartholomew Rose, until he lays eyes on a beautiful young student (Thandie Newton) from the girls boarding school, which sits tantalizingly right across the lake.
