Fled

The makers of this sluggish, by-the-numbers action pic couldn't even be bothered to exploit the obvious angles. (Only one line explores the protagonists' racial difference, and it's lifted from DIE HARD WITH A VENGEANCE.) Piper (Laurence Fishburne) and Dodge (Stephen Baldwin) escape from a Georgia chain gang, handcuffed together like latter-day DEFIANT ONES. But there's less to their situation than meets the eye. They run. They bicker.
