Leo Gorcey and Huntz Hall lead the Bowery Boys through this so-so prizefighting comedy. After a pal is killed in the ring, Slip (Gorcey) and company are determined to see that the mobsters responsible get their due. Their dead friend's brother, Johnny Higgins (Frankie Darro), an alcoholic
ex-fighter, is persuaded to return to the ring to avenge his sibling's death. The gangsters do their best to screw up the Boys' plans, but Johnny ends up winning the championship anyway.
