Kruger plays a small-time thief who, while traveling in Beirut, falls in with old friend Biraud and decides to participate in a scheme to rob high-stakes gambler Abded of his winnings. Kruger also meets lovely lady Darc, and when he learns that his arch-enemy, Geret, is on his trail, he runs off to the mountains with her. When he telephones Biraud, he learns that Geret has decided not to kill him and has joined the robbery scheme. Kruger returns to Beirut but decides not to go through with the robbery.
