Fear

A clever little thriller in which Cookson, a medical student running out of money, pawns his last few possessions with Pierlot, one of his professors, a mean-minded, avaricious individual, to pay his tuition. When he learns that his small scholarship has been cut off, Cookson comes to believe that Pierlot is behind it all and kills the professor. Cookson is sloppy in his work and forgets to retrieve his money, leaving clues behind for police. A short time later, he meets Gwynne and falls in love.
