Carroll is a beautiful spy who posesses plans involving the shipment of war planes to England and is being chased by Nazis who want the plans for themselves. While in New York, she escapes from them by ducking into a small dressing room at a theater. Coincidentally this is the dressing room of Hope, a wisecracking ladies' man who's preparing his performing penguin for its debut.
