Before they are separated by the Nazis, an 11-year-old boy is told by his father that they will meet in Palestine. A few years after the war, the young man goes to the Holy Land looking for his father, against the wishes of adults who know he is dead. This is an intriguing story, but is
handled so poorly that it's a crime. The actors used were all amateurs and it shows. What's worse is the unbelievable portrait of Palestine (soon to become Israel), where, if this film is to be believed, Jews and Arabs live next door to one another in peace and harmony, and the problems they had
with the British in 1947 are nonexistent. Financed, in part, by the Jewish National Fund...
