A broad British comedy about newlyweds who buy a rundown cottage to get away from the bride's father. The house is so dilapidated that they are forced to enlist the father and an inept builder to get it in shape. In the end, it catches on fire and the fire brigade ruins a local historical pageant in a vain attempt to help. A "Mr. Fixit" nightmare with occasional snickers. leave a comment
