Country and Western singer Orbison's fans should avoid his debut film in order to preserve their image of him. He is a Confederate spy who steals a Union shipment of gold from San Francisco with partner Jackson. As they head back from their mission, the war ends, and they are now criminals. They team up with Pierce and Freeman, two dance hall girls, as they try to escape from a band of renegades. Orbison uses his shotgun guitar (that's right) to save the day. Mindless. Orbison sings eight songs, seven of which he wrote with Bill Dees. Songs: "Pistolero," "Good Time Party," "Whirlwind," "Rollin' On," "River," "Medicine Man," "The Fastest Guitar Alive" (Roy Orbison, Bill Dees), "Snuggle Huggle" (Fred Karger). leave a comment
