The "Great Lover" John Gilbert's last picture for MGM; three years later he was dead of alcoholism. Gilbert and Armstrong are construction workers and friends. Armstrong plans to marry one of the many girls Gilbert has cavorted with and this causes a lot of problems that aren't worth
sitting through. Scriptwriter of this near-potboiler was the distinguished Laurence Stallings, who ironically had written Gilbert's greatest smash hit of the silent era, THE BIG PARADE.
