starstarstarstar
At age 22, Cameron Crowe posed as a student, returned to high school and wrote a book about his experiences. Director Amy Heckerling turned it into a brashly funny yet sensitive comedy that has since become a cult favorite. The cast is a virtual Who's Who of Young Hollywood, circa 1982: Jennifer Jason Leigh, Sean Penn, Phoebe Cates, Judge Reinhold and Nicolas Coppola (aka Nicolas Cage). Look for Heart's Nancy Wilson, the future Mrs. Crowe, in a bit part. Read the complete review for Fast Times At Ridgemont High
