The last entry in Metro's "fast" mystery series stars Tone and Sothern as the book-dealing couple who double as detectives. Tone is trying to find a murderer at a seaside beauty pageant. His friend Joslyn is jailed, and Tone is trying to clear Joslyn's name when there is a second murder. Tone has also been named a judge in the pageant and Sothern is not too happy about it.
