Menjou takes his first talking role in FASHIONS IN LOVE as a concert pianist fond of women other than his wife. After a performance one evening he meets a lady and plans a weekend retreat at a mountain cottage. Menjou's wife is informed of his extracurricular romance and heads for the
resort with the other woman's husband in tow. The romantic pairings become increasingly confused and tangled until they finally decide to remain with their respective spouses. Besides hearing Menjou speak, the audience was also treated to his delivery of the film's theme song and a piano
performance.
