There's good chemistry between Delon and Bronson in this one. After being discharged from the French Army, American mercenary Bronson and French doctor Delon form a criminal partnership. Georges-Picot and Fossey are two attractive con artists looking for someone to frame for their own robbery. They fool the two men into thinking they'll be taking home 200 million francs. Instead Bronson and Delon find themselves trapped in an underground vault for three days. The two women are killed in a shoot-out, and Delon is cleared of all charges. Bronson is not as fortunate, however. Arrested for an earlier crime, he honors a pact made with Delon: neither will admit knowing the other. Some problems with the plot but otherwise intriguing. A poorly dubbed English version was shelved and not released in America until Bronson was a popular star in the States. leave a comment
