A sappy story of twin brothers, Mastroianni and Perrin, who are separated when their mother and father die. Perrin is adopted by a butler, and Mastroianni is reared by their grandmother. Perrin is spoiled, living the lifestyle of the rich. However, when the butler's employer dies, Perrin finds himself unable to make a living.
