Constantin Costa-Gavras, the director of such fine political thrillers as MISSING and Z, tries his hand at comedy this time around and is less than successful. The family business of the title is safecracking, and as the film opens, young Francois (Laurent Romor) is teased by his friends because his father is in prison--but not for long. Papa (Johnny Hallyday) and his longtime partner Faucon (Guy Marchand) are soon out and back to their old tricks. However, they are not your average thieves.
