The Falcon Takes Over

After putting his role as the Saint behind him, George Sanders played a similarly suave sleuth, the Falcon, in another RKO series based on a character created by novelist Michael Arlen. While retaining the character of the Falcon, the third entry in the series, THE FALCON TAKES OVER, was based on Raymond Chandler's novel Farewell, My Lovely, and Sanders is really playing Philip Marlowe in everything but name.
