When a wealthy Englishwoman is discovered missing, her aunt enlists the aid of Annie, a girl from the local orphanage. Annie is supposed to have extrasensory perception, and this frightens the missing woman's brother, Conte, and the local cabdriver, Gorman. They are convinced the girl will
lead the police to the murdered body. However, Conte prevents the girl from revealing anything. He pays off Gorman for murdering his sister, but the transaction is witnessed by the police. They chase Gorman until he crashes, and confesses. This is a mildly interesting film, without much of a
bang.
