An international criminal, a sadistic dwarf, and $15 million in a Swiss bank vault are the main ingredients in this international thriller. Paluzzi plays the daughter of a United Nations official whose dying words to her are "one-eyed jacks." Hardly a moving farewell, but Paluzzi appreciates the good-bye message because it provides a valuable clue to the whereabouts of a key that opens the vault containing the fortune. She goes off in pursuit of the money, followed by criminal Deghy. The trail takes her to Yugoslavia where she enlists the aid of Robertson, an American newsman, in eluding Deghy. Avramovic, the dwarf (who used to be an SS agent), proves to be a formidable foe in the quest for the key, so Paluzzi, Robertson, and Deghy join forces against the little fellow. Avramovic is eventually killed by Nikolic, Deghy's assistant who was a victim of Avramovic's torture during WW II. The trio then retrieve the key from a one-eyed statue, only to be arrested by Faulds, the local police chief. Deghy then does some fast talking, and he and Faulds depart with the key, leaving Robertson and Paluzzi locked in a hotel room. Entertaining in a way only truly bad movies can be. leave a comment
