Old Sale comes to live with his son and makes friends with orphan-next-door Moore. Sale is a talented actor, but he can't overcome a script this hapless. The plight of an isolated elderly man caught between the frying pan of his grown children and the fire of the old folks' home--or
worse--became a too-familiar one in the 1980s. This film was remade in 1939 with the title NO PLACE TO GO.
