There's plenty of flesh is on display in this piece of R-rated schlock, but no dramatic tension and little eroticism. Hoping to revolutionize sexual research, Lisa (Catalina Larranaga) graduates from ivory tower supposition to actual field work. For her research into voyeurism, the alluring thesis candidate selects seven women and two men. Lisa's mentor, Rona (B. W. Glass), initially backs the study, she late questions Lisa's level of personal involvement with the lives of her guinea pigs. Lisa is at first cautious, videotaping her first exhibitionist, who tingles at the prospect of spectators watching her make love. Then Lisa shadows an acting student who regards her auto-erotic fixations as a form of performance art. The libidinous thespian distributes nude photos of her private parts on campus, then masturbates in her parked car. Lisa also studies a provocative woman who strips for her dates and another who stimulates herself on camera for subscribers to her naughty website. But the study hits a roadblock after Lisa interviews ceramicist and pottery professor Robert (Rife Urquhart), a sensitive dreamboat with a kinky streak: He enjoys sex al fresco. The unprofessional but hot-to-trot Lisa compromises her research by joining Robert in his outdoor frolics; when she tires of public displays, Robert becomes a stalker and terrorizes her. Will Lisa be able to extricate herself from his aberrant behavior and return to pure research? What a talky, talky bit of Kinsey Reporting this is! Screenwriter L. L. Thomaso's persiflage about voyeurism notwithstanding, the cast and director don't steam up the sheets — THE CHAPMAN REPORT (1962) was hotter. leave a comment --Robert Pardi
