EXCALIBUR

A grand, brooding fantasy from director John Boorman that follows Arthurian legend from the young king's anonymous background to his rise as ruler of ancient Britain. Nigel Terry is excellent as a naive, altruistic Arthur; Nicol Williamson camps it up as Merlin; Guenevere (Cherie Lunghi) and Lancelot (Nicholas Clay) provide a couple of steamy moments.
