Richard Wayborn (Tristan Rogers), the famed horror writer of such bestsellers as Bloodlove, hasn't been touring the college lecture circuit because of the high fees he commands; instead, it gives him the opportunity to kill female co-eds so that his late wife Rachel — she's been dead for 665 years — can enter the corpse and return to life for 6 hours. But Wayborn meets his match in pretty business major Sarah Foster (Arabella Holzeberg). He attempts to poison her, but she escapes his clutches, except no one believes her, including her detective boyfriend Scott (Tyrone Power Jr.) and jealous roommate Jill (Sonia Artis). Undaunted, Sarah battles the evil Wayborn and his zombie-ish wife who comes after her in the bodies of dead female cops, etc. This dumb supernatural thriller is directed with little style or humor by Thunder Levin. GENERAL HOSPITAL star Rogers is suave and unthreatening — not exactly requisites for the role — and Holzeberg makes no impression as the feisty co-ed. With cameos by the late Paul Bartel as a professor, Dawn Wells (from GILLIGAN'S ISLAND) as a reanimated corpse, and Griffin O'Neal as a victim. leave a comment --Dennis Dermody
