The Eternal Sea: Review

This interesting biographical picture stars Hayden as a Navy officer who continues to command a carrier, even though he lost a leg in a Japanese attack on his carrier (the Princeton) early in WW II. He then fought to stay on active duty when carrier-borne jet aircraft came along. A lots of exciting footage of carrier plane landings and takeoffs is featured, and the portrayal of the women the carrier men leave behind nicely balances sentiment and realism.
