Recording star Johnny Desmond plays a convict who breaks out of prison along with Devon and Engel. While Devon tries to contact his father to get the loot he had stashed before going in, Desmond takes up with Anders, the sister of his wife, who is divorcing him. Engel is shot dead by cops,
and Desmond and Devon are back in the pen at the finale in this strictly routine fare. Desmond sings "Lonely Lament."
