Little Provost is flying to Japan to join his parents when his plane is forced down in the ocean. He is saved by fishermen and taken to the home of one of them. When the fisherman's son (Nakagawa) hears his father mention the police, he and Provost run away to look for Provost's parents. A
series of adventures follow, such as a night in a geisha house, before the two are located in a pagoda. This routine children's fare, photographed in lovely Japanese locations, was handled with a light touch. Clint Eastwood, in a small role as a serviceman named "Dumbo," was making his second
movie for RKO.
