Also known as The Beast, this no-budget independent horror flick from 1970 has gathered quite a cult following over the years. And it's well-deserved: The film, originally shot on 16mm, then fleshed out with additional scenes a few years later, is disjointed and genuinely weird. Four teenagers search for a missing scientist (played by noted sci-fi author Fritz Leiber) in a state forest; instead, they find a strange book of ancient Persian incantations.
