The sixth richest girl in America (Mills) ventures to England where she meets a chauffeur who convinces her to buy a beautiful country estate. They wed and her life progresses swimmingly--until it ends. Though the characters never really take hold in this film, based on an Agatha Christie novel, there are some suspenseful moments that are heightened by the Bernard Herrmann score. leave a comment
