Von Sydow is a Soviet defector under asylum at the US embassy in Beirut. Air Force colonel Connors, actually a Russian spy, infiltrates the embassy and wounds Von Sydow. Connors is captured, escapes, is recaptured, escapes again, and is captured yet again. So-so espionage thriller, with Von Sydow typically fine, but it is Connors' performance as a killer that stands out. leave a comment
