More than a little self-reflexive, this low-budget horror movie is about a wacko film director who is shooting a low-budget horror movie. Little does the cast and crew know that the director is really making a film about the making of a film during which its cast and crew are murdered.
Shot in Pittsburgh, EFFECTS benefits from the participation of some of George Romero's regular crew, including Tom Savini, who did the special make-up effects and has a small acting role.
