A delicate, fanciful romance that casts Gelin and Vernon as a pair of newlyweds whose love carries them through their occasional differences. Gelin, an aspiring concert pianist, finds his idyllic situation altered when he and his wife are invited to a ritzy party thrown by Vernon's
uncle. The lovers' relationship is pushed to an inevitable explosion, but a cheerful reconciliation ends the picture. Concerned less with plot (the script is incredibly sparse) than with creating two characters in the midst of a lighthearted romance, Becker succeeds in turning out a pleasant piece
of entertainment. (In French; English subtitles.)
