A remarkably assured domestic comedy-drama set in Taiwan, courtesy of Ang Lee (Sense and Sensibility, The Ice Storm). Each night, chef Sihung Lung laboriously prepares gourmet meals for his three unmarried daughters: Kuei-Mai Yang, Chien-Lien Wu and Yu-Wen Wang. The harmony of this close-knit family is soon disrupted by romance, as the daughters cope with the blandishments of three very different men and dad, a widower, embarks on a romance of his own.
