Set in 1820, this melodrama of the Deep South concerns a war waged against plantations by a band of bayou renegades seeking revenge on the local aristocracy. The ringleader of the gang is Creole girl Medina, who owns a gambling ship and resents the fact that she has not been shown the respect she feels she deserves from the established families.
