This was Ladd's first production under his own Jaguar label. Working in collaboration with veteran western director Daves (BROKEN ARROW), Ladd produced one of his best efforts since SHANE. Ladd, a tough Indian fighter, is presidentially appointed to make peace with the troublesome Modoc Indians of California. But his stagecoach is ambushed by renegade Bronson before its arrival at Fort Klamath, and Ladd must resort to gunplay to save his life and those of the other passengers, including pretty Dalton.
