Tracy, a son alienated from his concert pianist father, travels the country moving from one lonely woman to another, unable to make a commitment to anyone. He takes up with a woman he once had an affair with, and the lady gives birth to Tracy's son. After mooning awhile about what might
have been, Tracy takes to the road again as a sensitive, pathetic victim of rejection, heading toward infinite uncertainty.
