Touching tale of the romance and marriage between Massari and Pagani, two university students who marry under the belief that love conquers everything, despite the realities that stand in their way. Unfortunately, death interferes with their happy existence when the young bride dies in
childbirth, leaving her husband with only her memory to guide him further. This is not as depressing a film as the plot would suggest because a lot of humor is included in its depiction of early married life.
