Did you think Jamie Foxx was playing Motown founder Berry Gordy in Dreamgirls? Me, too. And so did Gordy, apparently. So, to make sure there was no further debate about the matter (and perhaps to preclude the music legend filing a nightmare of a lawsuit over his... er, the unflattering depiction), DreamWorks and Paramount have taken out full-page ads in Variety and the Hollywood Reporter that read, in part, "For any confusion that has resulted from our fictional work, we apologize to Mr. Gordy."
