DREAMER rips off the ROCKY formula to tell the story of a small-town bowler (Matheson) who lifts himself into the professional ranks and wins the national championship. Of course, a crusty old coach (Warden) is on hand, as is a girl friend (Blakely) who wants as much attention from her
beau as his bowling ball gets. Bill Conti, who did ROCKY's memorable score, contributes the music here too (the mind boggles). A gutter ball of a film, though it does include apperances by professional bowlers Dick Weber and Nelson Burton, Jr.
