Chandler is a Union officer assigned to a Georgia town during the Reconstruction period following the Civil War. It isn't easy for him to gain the trust of the community, especially since he was part of Sherman's march to the sea, which left most of Georgia in ruins. Howard tries to rally
the townspeople to fight the Union again. Slowly, the town sees that Chandler is sincere in his intentions, and the uprising is stopped when Howard's father, Crisp, kills his son to stop the potential bloodshed. The first film from Chandler's production company, DRANGO merits applause for
generally fine acting and, in particular, the camerawork of Howe.
