Dracula: Dead And Loving It

Not a satire of the Dracula mythos, but a weak scene-for-scene parody of Tod Browning's seminal but lousy 1931 DRACULA. A few effective gags emerge from this hectic concoction of unfunny pratfalls, juvenile mugging and tedious enema jokes, but it's hard to believe that director Mel Brooks was also the man behind YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN, a coarse but frequently hilarious send-up of horror conventions.
