Richard Jacks (Tim Daly) is a frustrated chemist descended from that old scoundrel Henry Jekyll. So it's only a matter of time before he stops using his talents to distill perfumes and brews up a variation on his great grandpa's potion. The result: Ms. Helen Hyde (Sean Young), a
bombshell with balls to spare who begins wreaking havoc on poor Richard's life. It's already been done -- better -- in DR. JEKYLL AND SISTER HYDE (1971), with Martine Beswicke and Ralph Bates a far more convincing pair of alter egos. This is just a bad movie -- crude, mean-spirited, often
grotesque. Sean Young's Victoria's Secret office wear, however, is a treat for the eyes.
