Carey plays a doctor who's so swell that he saves a chorus girl from leaping off a building in a publicity stunt. He then gets tangled up in the murder of a killer he befriends. The killer asks him to deliver $100,000 to a long-lost daughter, but, before the doctor can do so, the mob
intervenes, kills the killer, and steals the key to his safe deposit box. The doctor gets fingered for the murder but proves his worth by helping catch the villains and again saving the same girl performing the same foolish publicity stunt. A poor first film from director Anthony Mann, but it does
hint at his later talents.
