Mr. Wong (Karloff) investigates the murder of a shipping tycoon in the wake of the sinking of one of his ships with over $1 million in bonds aboard. Dick Fleming (Stelling) is suspected of the murder, but reporter Bobby Logan (Reynolds) believes him innocent and brings Mr. Wong in on the case. The Chinese sleuth quickly sorts through the red herrings to expose the real killer.
