Stone is a high-school principal and respected member of the parole board who finds himself in a position to decide whether to parole his own son (Cabot), who has turned into a vicious criminal. Cabot threatens to expose Stone as his father and ruin him unless Stone votes to free him. Stone succumbs to the blackmail, and Cabot goes on a spree with moll Latimer until shot down by his father.
