This occasionally funny story has Wagner as an American writer in Europe supporting himself by smuggling watch parts out of Switzerland into France. In return for Moore's help in one of these forays, Wagner agrees to help Moore find her missing friend, sex novelist Johns. Johns is actually on vacation in the Aegean, but the ghostwriter hired to finish her novel (Rhoades) has been kidnaped by gangsters who think she's Johns. Wagner helps her escape and learns she is being sought by the police for the murder of a gangster. Johns eventually turns up and is persuaded to finish her novel. The gangster Rhoades is alleged to have killed conveniently walks in, is quickly subdued, and Wagner and Moore fly off for an Aegean vacation. This is a fast-moving comedy with little substance but some decent performances. leave a comment
