After the success of BAD GIRL in 1931, Eilers and Dunn were teamed up for five more light romantic comedies, none of which approached the modest standard of the first. In this one, the next-to-last of the series, Dunn and buddy Tomlin are booted out of college. To raise money, they hold an auction of their services in Central Park. Eilers submits the winning bid and hires the pair to drive with her in her beat-up jalopy to Ohio. Along the way, Tomlin plays his guitar and sings some songs. Dunn doesn't show much interest in Eilers until the end, when he snatches her from the altar as she is about to wed someone else. leave a comment
