Don't Be A Menace To South Central While Drinking Your Juice In The Hood

Don't believe the hype. Granted, the recent cycle of self-righteous, faux-political ghetto melodramas -- BOYZ N THE HOOD etc. -- is fairly begging for rude, satirical deflation, but the Wayans Brothers, late of television's In Living Color, aren't the men for the job. While there are a couple of genuine laughs here, this AIRPLANE!-style collection of gags and blackouts is strangely sour and ultimately wearisome.
