After his unparalleled 1976 film ORCA (as in Orca, the killer whale), Anderson turned his talents to this mystery-thriller-horror picture. Greedy American businessman Robertson decides to scare his wealthy English wife, Simmons, to death. He says, "Boo!" once too often, and she kills herself--or does she? Either she's come back as a ghost, or she's just playing with Robertson's greedy little mind. If Robertson had seen DIABOLIQUE or OBSESSION, he might have been able to figure things out, but he is wedded to the ghost theory. The explanations are pretty far-fetched and unbelievable.
